Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is hiring for an onsite 11-week Distribution Center Operations Summer Internship in Waverly, NE, beginning May 2027. Interns gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced DC, learning inbound/outbound, inventory flow, safety, and leadership while working alongside experienced leaders.

Throughout the program, interns will lead, analyze performance, and contribute to meaningful projects, with mentorship and professional development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field; rising seniors preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership through employment, internships, or campus activities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and ambiguity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Relocation to and residence in the Waverly, NE area for the internship.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across Distribution Center operations while understanding product flow, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Partner with DC leaders and Team Members to support daily priorities and performance goals.
• Develop leadership skills by communicating expectations, building relationships, and supporting Team Members in a fast-paced setting.
• Analyze operational challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and propose solutions.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving efficiency, quality, productivity, and safety.
• Demonstrate adaptability and sound decision-making amid changing priorities.
• Take initiative, be accountable, and apply feedback to grow during the internship.
• Complete additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
