Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT). You will lead departments, supervise daily operations, and ensure policy execution, member experience, and GOLD standards.

The program develops future Assistant Club Managers across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience tracks. You’ll work closely with the Club Manager, participate in hiring, training, and safety compliance, including ServSafe and forklift operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager.
• Strong drive for results and solid work ethic.
• Honesty, straightforwardness, and commitment to high service levels.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and motivate a large team.
• Knowledge of shrink controls, merchandising, customer service, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
• Completion of company training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Department Leadership across assigned departments, emphasizing business acumen and execution of club standards.
• Recruit, Hire, and Onboard Team Members for assigned departments.
• Oversee Labor Planning and Scheduling to align with trends and budgets.
• Drive Sales, Inventory Control, and Shrink Management for in-stock conditions.
• Champion Member Experience Standards: GAA, GOLD, and LAST across departments.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety through audits and training.
