Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club in Tyler, Texas is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead and develop departments, drive performance, and ensure GOLD standards across merchandising, perishables, or member experience. The trainee will receive focused development aligned to their track and will oversee corresponding teams.

You will mentor staff, support audits, collaborate with BPs, and assume Manager on Duty duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership and oversee daily operations across assigned departments.

• Plan labor and scheduling to meet demand and budget targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management through effective processes.
• Model and enforce service standards (GAA, GOLD) across departments.
• Ensure operational readiness and safety compliance, including audits.
• Support special initiatives, merchandising transitions, and projects as needed.
• Operate forklifts when required and maintain regular attendance.
