Job summary

Vertin seeks a General Manager who can lead a team and manage the P&L while standing beside families on their hardest days. This onsite role is at our Gillette, WY firm, with relocation offered.

The position blends leadership with compassionate funeral service and community engagement to grow market share in the region. The candidate must be a dual licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, with the ability to obtain Wyoming licensure.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in mortuary science required.
• Must be able to obtain Funeral Director/Embalmer license in Wyoming.
• Strong leadership and business acumen with multi-site management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team with clear expectations and performance metrics.
• Develop people and grow market share while upholding Vertin’s mission.
• Coordinate staff schedules, meetings, and performance feedback.
• Manage community engagement and brand presence locally.
• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial services with professionalism.
• Ensure licensing compliance and accurate service documentation.
• Support logistics and aftercare activities for families.
