Job summary

Vertin is seeking a General Manager to lead a multi-site operation and oversee a P&L while showing compassion for families during difficult times. The role is onsite at our Gillette, WY firm with relocation offered, and focuses on growing market share and developing people within the brand's century-old mission.

The position combines leadership of operations and family service, including arranging services, guiding staff, and ensuring compliance with licensing and policy.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in mortuary science with dual Funeral Director and Embalmer licensure.
• Ability to license in Wyoming or obtain Wyoming licensure.
• Strong leadership with financial acumen and cross-site coordination.
• Proven track record turning financial reports into actionable steps.
• Experience managing teams across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead team performance, set expectations, and drive metrics.
• Build schedules and coordinate services, events, and meetings across sites.
• Grow the business presence through community involvement and marketing oversight.
• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial services with professionalism and care.
• Ensure licensing compliance and safe work environment; manage logistics.
