Job summary

Service Corporation International (SCI) seeks an Operations Leader to manage daily operations of a single Funeral Home location and drive profitability, staff development, and exceptional client family service.

You will coordinate financial planning, budgeting, and compliance, preside as MC for services when needed, and partner with Market Leadership to grow revenue while upholding SCI standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma preferred.
• Bachelor’s in Mortuary Science or as required by state board.
• Funeral Director license as required by state board.
• At least five years industry experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Two years experience guiding staff and communicating expectations.
• Budgeting and expense control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual business plan, budgets, and financial targets with Market Leadership.
• Manage day-to-day operations to meet on-time services and customer expectations.
• Lead and develop staff; hire or promote; provide feedback and coaching.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and community engagement.
• Preside as MC for services when required; oversee funeral arrangements.
• Plan initiatives across locations; manage resources and negotiate solutions.
• Identify efficiencies and drive change while maintaining service standards.
