Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical diploma in Funeral Services or Mortuary Science preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Science or as required by state law.
• Funeral Director license as required by state law.
• At least five (5) years' industry experience with increasing responsibilities.
• At least two (2) years' experience guiding staff and communicating expectations.
• Prior experience managing people preferred.
• Budgeting and expense control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual business plan and budget with Market Leadership.
• Prepare annual operational and personnel budgets.
• Communicate strategies, values, and goals to staff.
• Interpret goals into local actionable plans.
• Collaborate with Finance Field Manager to monitor financial trends.
• Approve expenditures and manage overtime.
• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure on-time services.
• Resolve escalated customer issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate on product, process, and technology needs.
• Participate in community organizations.
• Maintain facilities and grounds.
• Plan annual initiatives across locations.
• Identify innovative solutions and support change initiatives.
• Facilitate funeral arrangements and empathetic client support.
• Preside as Master of Ceremonies for services.
