Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage intake procedures for all military-affiliated students and dependents seeking benefits or center services.
  • Represent the Veterans Center at recruitment and outreach events (job fairs, college fairs).
  • Plan and facilitate resource events and student activities, including Veterans Day program.
  • Deliver New Student Orientation presentations for military-connected learners.
  • Advise Chapter 31-Vocational Rehabilitation students and manage their benefit certifications.
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid to track support for service members with Service-Cancelable Loans.
  • Assist with TA platforms and DoD platforms to assist student funding requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is located at Atlanta Tech’s Main campus just south of Downtown Atlanta.Under general supervision of the Director of the Student Services, Full-Time Veteran Affairs Specialist position supports daily office operations, manages the intake process, and serves as the main advisor for Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation students.
