Job summary

Sunset Villa Post Acute is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and physicians, and document services in medical records. The role includes training facility staff and maintaining compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, supervising CFY/students, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to plan discharge and ongoing care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state; maintain licensure and comply with CE requirements.
• Proficient with healthcare software such as Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing functions.
• Supervise CFY/SLP students as applicable.
• Communicate progress with physicians, staff, residents, and families; document thoroughly and timely.
