Job summary

The Bucks County Housing Authority is seeking a Management Aide to support Section 8 programs and ensure safe, sanitary housing for very low-income families and individuals in Bucks County. You will handle renewals, verifications, data entry, and ongoing tenant communications to keep the program organized and compliant.

You will coordinate with landlords, inspectors, and applicants, prepare necessary documents, and maintain orderly files.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in management of multi-family housing developments or properties owned or administered by public housing agencies
• 1 year of comparable business, industrial, or professional employment
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Interview all Section 8 participants for recertification of their current income and household information
• Complete all third party verification for recertifications, interims, and any other relevant updates
• Enter all information into computer systems for rental calculations and payment processing
• Manage heavy telephone contact with tenants about moves, evictions, income, household changes, and other matters affecting Section 8 participation
• Prepare and send letters to tenants and landlords; process tenant transfer paperwork including vouchers, packets, and portability documents; and keep files organized
• Work with inspectors regarding move-in and move-out inspections; talk to landlords about rent breakdowns, move-ins, recertifications, and related matters
