Job summary

Winnienr is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate holds an active Texas PTA license, has experience in SNF or long-term care, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork. Net Health documentation experience is preferred, and we offer flexible schedules and

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
