Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team in Winnie, TX. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and overall quality of life, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Active Texas PTA license is required; SNF or long-term care experience is preferred. Net Health documentation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for services and relay information to the PT.
• Implement and modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation complies with policies and regulations.
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
