Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Texas is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will deliver person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate holds an active Texas PTA license, has SNF or long-term care experience, and is comfortable using Net Health documentation.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify patients' plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust as needed with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is thorough and timely per policies and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
