Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe (full-time) to support primary care providers with real-time documentation. You will observe patient visits, document encounters, and help with coding and after-visit summaries.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge, strong listening and communication skills, and a willingness to learn our value-based care model. This role offers in-person clinic work and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering, strongly preferred.
• Scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Documenting Patient Encounters in a structured note (HPI, assessment, plan, exam).
• Assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes and preparing after-visit summaries.
• Provide administrative support to the care team and help with documentation workflow.
