Advocate Health seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support therapy programs under licensed supervision. You will train patients in exercises, gait, and activities of daily living, and collect outcome measures for clinical and research use.

The role requires a two-year PTA program, a state license, and CPR certification; prior PTA experience is preferred, with potential for involvement in ongoing studies and program development.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a two-year college PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• One year of prior PTA experience preferred.
• Current license in the state to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant; CPR certification every two years.

Responsabilités

• Carry out physical therapy programs under the supervision of the physical therapist in clinical and research settings.
• Train patients in exercises, ambulation, activities of daily living.
• Collect clinical and radiographic scores and health-related quality of life measures.
• Perform tests and evaluations of development, motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and assist with research protocols and data quality.
