Core Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Implement customized pediatric treatment plans designed by supervising Physical Therapists. Provide direct care utilizing therapeutic exercises, neuromotor activities, manual therapy, and modality applications tailored to children.
  • Progress Tracking & Education: Closely monitor and document patient progress. Report clinical observations to the Physical Therapist and educate families/caregivers on treatment protocols, home exercises, and adaptive techniques.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain pristine, timely documentation of patient treatments and behavioral responses in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with supervising PTs, fellow therapists (OT, SLP, ABA), and support staff to ensure seamlessly coordinated care.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or license-eligible.
  • Skills: Strong therapeutic abilities with a natural knack for engaging children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using pediatric therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
