Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy License in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience; mail order, specialty, or closed-door fulfillment experience preferred.
• Active license in additional states preferred.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex new software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy technicians in support of the pharmacy manager and oversee workflow.
• Oversee data entry by pharmacy staff and ensure quality of work.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and proper destruction of records.
• Assist in receiving, processing and transferring prescriptions end-to-end.
• Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a high-volume setting.
• Review and clinically verify new and refills for safety and dosing accuracy.
• Provide proactive patient counseling and education via phone.
• Collaborate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and address issues.
• Perform tasks in a safe, compliant manner per policies and laws.
• Work with Pharmacy leadership, technicians, and management teams.
