Job summary

BlinkRx is seeking a Pharmacist to serve as the clinical backbone of a closed-door facility. You will verify prescriptions with speed and accuracy, counsel patients by phone, and collaborate with prescribers to keep medications moving safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacy License in good standing with your state Board of Pharmacy AND Idaho Board of Pharmacy.
• Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
• Strong command of the English language; bilingual Spanish preferred for phone-based counseling.
• Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume prescription verification with accuracy.
• Strong technical aptitude to learn pharmacy management systems, verification platforms, and internal workflow tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy.
• Validate prescription data entry performed by pharmacy technicians, ensuring transcription accuracy.
• Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a closed-door environment before shipment.
• Perform daily prospective drug utilization review (DUR) to resolve clinical flags before fulfillment.
• Manage specialty medication handling including cold-chain verification.
• Provide proactive outbound patient counseling calls for new prescriptions and address education, side effects, dosing, and adherence.
• Handle inbound clinical patient calls and direct non-clinical inquiries to the patient support team.
• Document all patient interactions in the pharmacy management system.
• Support Spanish-speaking patients with bilingual counseling where applicable.
• Contact prescribers to clarify incomplete or ambiguous prescriptions prior to dispensing.
• Collaborate on substitutions, DAW overrides, and formulary alternatives to reduce delays.
• Supervise technicians and ensure QA, coaching, and adherence to state regulations.
