Job summary

Located in Asheville, Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate to support on-unit meal service and patient satisfaction.

As a full-time Dietary Aide, you will help patients choose meals, assemble and deliver trays, and collaborate with nursing and culinary teams while adhering to safety, HIPAA, and HACCP standards. You will work a rotating schedule with weekends and be eligible for shift differential and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team on menu alternatives for allergies and preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to patient selections; retrieve trays on time.
• Follow regulator standards including HIPAA, HACCP, and sanitation policies.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on specific diets as needed.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department guidelines.
