Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, serving patients by helping them make menu selections, assembling, delivering and collecting meal trays. Qualifications

• Must have previous serving experience.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and maintain clean work stations.
