Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in a physician office, hospital or clinic environment, or payer/insurance activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail with strong time management.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Understanding HIPAA confidentiality regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients and families, verifies demographics, insurance and finances.
• Collects co-pays, co-insurances, and deductibles at check-in; provides financial counseling as needed.
• Validates Medicare and non-Medicare case medical necessity for clearance.
• Obtains signed orders, scans documentation into patient accounting system.
• Pre-registers patients and provides directions, scheduling and transportation information.
• Maintains patient information and ensures data integrity across departments.
