Valor Health in Idaho is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to register patients accurately and greet visitors, both in person and by phone. The role requires attention to detail in verifying insurance eligibility and coordinating front desk activities.

You will manage pre-registrations, enter data into the EMR, collect copays, and support discharge entries. The job expects strong customer service, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital business office or admitting office preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Ability to operate a hospital-wide telephone switchboard.
• Data entry and customer service experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Register patients for both acute and ambulatory settings.
• Greet patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Verify insurance eligibility.
• Process copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
• Pre-register patient accounts and update records.
• Enter discharges into the computer when notified.
• Answer multi-line phones and route calls as needed.
• Assist with registration audits as required.
