McLaren Health Care is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform phlebotomy and specimen collection across in-house and off-site locations. You will educate patients, process specimens, and assist in multiple laboratory areas under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma, potential phlebotomy certification, and experience in a clinical lab setting. Schedule is full-time with nights, weekends, and shift-specific hours.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified phlebotomy technician preferred.
• Experience drawing blood or phlebotomy training in approved program preferred.
• Clinical laboratory environment experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs proper specimen collection (blood and non-blood), including patient prep, labeling, handling, preservation, processing, transport and storage.
• Enters patient registration data and test orders into hospital/lab information systems with ABN compliance.
• Performs waived tests and assists in other testing platforms under technical oversight.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards; adheres to policies and protocols.
• Trains new staff and assists in regulatory compliance requirements.
• Answers calls, prints reports, and communicates test results as applicable.
