Job summary

McLaren's Laboratory seeks a Lab Technical Assistant – Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection and assist in cytology prep as needed. You will work nights and weekends with shift times 1:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. on weekdays and 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. on weekends, with 40 hours per pay period.

You'll enter orders in hospital LIS/HIS systems, maintain safety and infection-control standards, and support various lab areas under supervision. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection by phlebotomy from each patient.
• Operates LIS/HIS for order entry and results.
• Maintains clean, safe lab environment and follows infection control policies.
• Assists in various lab areas under supervision.
