Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Public Library is hiring full-time Customer Service Representative I to deliver excellent customer service at East Berry, Ella Mae Shamblee, Golden Triangle, Northwest, Southwest Regional and Summerglen Library locations.

The role requires friendly, organized individuals able to serve diverse community members, with duties including checking materials in/out, issuing cards, handling cash transactions, and assisting with programs and outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• No previous experience required.
• Must pass physical.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish (preferred).
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends (preferred).
• Ability to travel to multiple library locations (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service at library locations.
• Check library materials in and out; issue library cards.
• Conduct customer payment transactions and operate a cash register.
• Answer questions about library policies, procedures, and accounts.
• Address basic reference, reader’s advisory, and general usage questions.
• Assist with library programs and outreach as needed.
