The City of Fort Worth is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative I to deliver friendly and efficient service at multiple Fort Worth Public Library locations. The role requires organization, helpfulness, and comfort working with diverse community members of all ages and backgrounds.

Ideal candidates may have two years of customer service experience and the ability to communicate in Spanish, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends and the capacity to travel among

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to travel to multiple library locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to library customers.
• Check library materials in and out; issue library cards.
• Conduct customer payment transactions and operate a cash register.
• Answer questions about library policies, procedures, and accounts.
• Answer basic reference, reader’s advisory and general usage questions.
• Assist with library programs and outreach as needed.
