Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to work full-time on-site with a high school student, ensuring access to curriculum and classroom discussions.

You will provide one-to-one support, collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate effective communication, and help adapt materials to the student's needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.5 EIPA score (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment).
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience interpreting in school settings, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver realtime sign language interpretation between student, peers, and staff in classroom settings.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate learning.
• Assist in adapting educational materials to student needs.
• Interpret and relay spoken and signed information accurately.
• Support student participation in classroom activities and school events.
• Uphold ethical standards and comply with professional guidelines.
