Job summary

SOLIANT is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to support Deaf or Hard of Hearing students across multiple Oregon school sites. This contract role runs Aug 24, 2026 to Jun 15, 2027 and is full-time with onsite assignments.

You will interpret classroom instruction and events, collaborating with DHH professionals and classroom staff to ensure accessible communication and confidentiality throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Completion of an interpreter training program.
• IEPA score above 3.5.
• Up-to-date licensure and credentials for sign language interpreting in an academic setting.
• Professional references available before or during the interview process.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with DHH educators and support staff.
• Passion for fostering accessible, inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events for students and staff.
• Partner closely with DHH specialists and other classroom professionals.
