Located at 9100 Babcock Blvd in Pittsburgh, PA, the position is Full-Time, on-site, with a 40-hour work week and alternating weekend and holiday shifts. Training and adherence to department standards are key components of this role.

Qualifications

• Work permit required if under 18 years old.
• Act 34 clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
• Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
• Communicates customer complaints and concerns effectively with other health care team members.
• Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
• Serves patient meals using the designated department script, with proper patient identification.
• Distributes and collects menus from patients and records selections per procedures.
• Displays customer service skills when responding to meal service requests and aims for satisfaction.
• Serves meals within established timeframes meeting appearance, quality, and temperature standards.

UPMC Passavant is looking for Food Service Hosts. The Food Service Host is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction with food service utilizing customer service skills. Delivers and serves nutritionally appropriate and attractive meals in a timely manner. Practices appropriate food handling techniques and food safety procedures in all aspects of job.
UPMC Passavant is conveniently located just north of downtown Pittsburgh off McKnight Blvd, 10 minutes from Ross Park Mall.
Hours: Full-Time 40 hours per week. Every other Weekend + holiday shift requirements. Further details will be discussed in an interview.
