Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support day-to-day patient care across Illinois facilities. Flexibility to float among zones and collaboration with the nursing team are essential. Eligible for benefits and 36 hours per week at competitive pay.

Role requires BLS and certified Nurse Aide in good standing, with preferred two years acute care CNA experience. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.
• Two years acute care CNA experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and ambulation.
• Record blood pressures, temperatures, pulse, respiration, intake/output, and daily weights in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounds and promptly communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge activities.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Restock nursing areas and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and diet-related tasks.
• Support skin care and use of compression devices as ordered.
