Harford County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian I for Youth’s Benefit Elementary School to perform routine cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. The role is full-time, twelve months, with responsibilities including cleaning floors, lavatories, windows, and assisting in snow removal.

Starting salary is $35,602 with a maximum of $49,706; AFSCME pay schedule applies. HCPS offers a broad benefits package and non-exempt status on a 12-month calendar.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum ninth grade education required.
• One year of custodial, mechanical trade, or related experience preferred.
• Physically able to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders beyond fifteen feet, with accommodations as needed.
• may be required to hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors in classrooms, offices, corridors, and other areas.
• Use custodial equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor cleaners.
• Collect and dispose of trash and keep lavatories sanitary.
• Move furniture and supplies as needed and assist in loading/unloading.
• Assist in snow removal, lawn and playground maintenance, and emergency responses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
