Harford County Public Schools seeks a Custodian I for Shift 2 at Homestead-Wakefield Elementary School. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

The position requires basic education with preferred high school diploma or GED and at least one year of custodial experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate cleaning machinery is required, with some lifting and ladder access involved.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of custodial or related experience preferred.
• Physically able to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders.

Responsabilidades

• Selects appropriate equipment and sweeps and cleans floors in classrooms, offices, corridors, and other areas.
• Uses custodial equipment such as mops, buffers, vacuums, and soap/detergents.
• Collects and disposes of trash and maintains cleanliness of restrooms and general areas.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed; handles up to 50 pounds safely.
• Assists in snow removal, lawn maintenance, and basic building upkeep.
• Responds to emergency situations and supports department initiatives.
