AM Digital Designs in Lawrence, MA is seeking a seasoned Full-Stack/Frontend Developer to transform Figma prototypes into high-performance web applications. You will work on PHP backends, MySQL databases, and secure API connections for clients across local small businesses.

The role emphasizes design fidelity, code quality, and scalable delivery with flexible hours and remote options. 5–8+ years in agency or product environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of full-stack or complex frontend development experience.
• Proficiency extracting design specs from Figma Dev Mode.
• Experience with PHP backend, MySQL, and third-party API integrations.
• Agency, consultancy or product environment experience preferred.
• Mentoring junior developers is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Backend Integration: Develop and maintain PHP backend systems and MySQL databases; connect third-party APIs (Stripe, Mailchimp, HubSpot).
• Performance Optimization: Audit and refactor to ensure fast load times and strong Core Web Vitals across devices.
• DevOps & Deployment: Use Git, manage cloud staging, DNS, and deploy to production safely.

About the Role

We don’t just design beautiful interfaces; we build them robustly. Our web presence and our clients’ digital products must perform flawlessly across all devices. We need a seasoned Full-Stack/Frontend Developer who respects the design process and possesses the technical rigor to turn a Figma prototype into a living, breathing, high-performance web application.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

• Backend Integration: Develop and maintain custom PHP backend systems, MySQL databases, and construct secure third-party API connections (e.g., Stripe, Mailchimp, HubSpot).
• Performance Optimization: Constantly audit and refactor code to ensure lightning-fast load times, optimal Core Web Vitals, and flawless responsive behavior on all mobile devices.
• DevOps & Deployment: Utilize Git for version control, manage cloud staging environments, configure DNS settings, and execute final deployments to production servers safely.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• 5–8+ years of experience in full-stack or complex frontend development, preferably within an agency, consultancy, or product environment.
• Deep familiarity with Figma’s Dev Mode, able to extract design specs, padding, and variables accurately without needing a designer to hold your hand.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience building custom WordPress themes or headless CMS architectures (Contentful, Sanity).
• A passion for mentoring junior developers or technical interns.

$95,000–$130,000/yr base salary, full health benefits, home-office/remote work stipends, flexible hours, and an environment that respects engineering time and avoids burnout.
