Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a Payroll Specialist I to deliver accurate, timely multi-state payroll processing and exceptional service to employees and partners. This on-site role requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with HR and finance.

Responsibilities include weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, compliance with federal and state laws, auditing timekeeping, and preparing reports for audits. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of recent payroll processing experience.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now highly preferred.
• Knowledge of blended SCA, DBA, and CBA is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; comfortable communicating via phone, email, and in person.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process full-cycle multi-state payrolls for weekly, bi-weekly, and special schedules.
• Monitor timekeeping system for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
• Review and validate employee portal changes within third-party notification systems.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll transactions and benefits.
• Address payroll inquiries from employees in a timely manner.
• Generate payroll data reports for Prevailing Wage reporting and audits.
• Support with quarterly/annual filings and auditor materials as needed.
