Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- in Los Angeles is seeking a Payroll Manager to own complex payroll operations and lead the payroll function. You will manage biweekly and monthly payroll processes, handle bonus payrolls, off-cycle payments, and final pay calculations.

This role partners with Accounting for month-end close and GL reconciliations, supervises a Payroll Analyst, and acts as the subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now to ensure compliance across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Extensive payroll management experience in a multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities

• Manage biweekly and monthly payroll processing, partner distributions, bonus payrolls, off-cycle payments, and final pay calculations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations in a multi-state environment.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now.
• Review payroll reconciliations, journal entries, tax withholdings, deductions, and employee records.
• Partner with Accounting on general ledger reconciliations, payroll reporting, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Supervise and mentor a Payroll Analyst while ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and business continuity.
