Job summary

Our client, a residential and commercial development company, seeks a Full Charge Bookkeeper to serve as the financial backbone for a portfolio of 40+ entities in real estate and active construction. You will manage tax and financial reporting, onboarding of new hires and benefits, and act as the primary contact with banks and lawyers for acquisitions, new leases, and investments.

This is a quiet, independent role in a laid-back family culture; 7+ years of full-charge bookkeeping in real estate

Qualifications

• 7+ years full-charge bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in real estate, construction, or development industries.

Responsibilities

• Manage full charge bookkeeping across 40+ entities
• Serve as primary point of contact with bank managers and lawyers
• Work with CPA firm on tax returns and year-end close
• Prepare monthly sales & use tax and complete sales tax audits
• Prepare all estimated tax payments and respond to IRS notices
• Prepare property tax reports
• Prepare payroll tax reports and related filings
• Maintain balance sheets and reporting: AR, AP, WIP, fixed assets
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and cash flow
• Review P&L for anomalies and errors
• Update Rent Roll Report with new leases and activity
• Oversee office staff and 1099s
• Handle employee onboarding and benefits renewals
• Track COI for subcontractors
• Set up QuickBooks file for new company
• Assist with acquisitions including like-kind exchanges
