Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager in Fort Wayne, IN to guide budgetary control, people development, and operational objectives across the Fulfillment Center.

You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to surpass performance goals while maintaining positive employee relations. You will drive Lean initiatives, safety, quality, and customer experience for inbound or outbound operations, set clear expectations, and collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety,

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methods, to boost FC efficiency.
• Oversee safety, quality and customer experience for inbound or outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance and provide feedback.
• Leverage Managers to source ideas and build improvement plans for the area.
• Share best practices across departments, shifts, and the network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources.
