Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager for its Union, OH Fulfillment Center.

This role leads a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching leaders to meet performance targets while building strong employee relations and leadership depth across the facility. The candidate balances operational excellence with team development, driving Lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, Safety, IT, and other senior managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality initiatives and Lean-driven process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Oversees performance of Inbound or Outbound operations, including safety, quality and customer experience.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and create improvement plans across the area.
• Drives best-practice sharing across departments, shifts and the network.
