Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Manager, Operations to lead a fulfillment center operation. You will own end-to-end performance, driving safety, people experience, and operational excellence across a large team.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on leadership to impact associates, processes, and technology daily. You will lead a large team of managers and front-line staff, coach for growth, and ensure high-quality, productive, and cost-efficient operations while continuously improving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or related field. MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a large team of managers and front-line associates, providing continuous coaching, actionable feedback, and growth opportunities.
• Drive safety as a top priority by modeling safe behaviors and reviewing safety metrics.
• Own operational performance by identifying KPIs, analyzing data trends, and implementing scalable processes.
• Navigate ambiguity and lead through change, creating clarity during strategic shifts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex, systemic problems using root cause analysis.
