Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for Fulfillment Operations in North Aurora, IL. You will lead staff, foster a positive work environment, and drive customer satisfaction and efficient department operations with a hands-on approach to achieve revenue goals.

Reports to the General Manager, Fulfillment Operations, with the GM as backup. You will direct distribution operations, customer service, HR, and recruiting; monitor KPIs; and push continuous improvements using data-driven

Qualifications

• 4+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with safety procedures within a distribution center environment.
• Established track record of taking ownership and delivering results.
• Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Direct several operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, and recruiting.
• Ensure that we meet and exceed our merchant’s expectations.
• Manage performance KPIs, identify and track key metrics and plan continuous improvement efforts for your facility.
• Use data driven reports and analyses to identify avenues for continuous improvement and propose solutions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
• Hire, train, coach and motivate team members in your facility; you will be responsible for setting the team’s goals and managing them.
• Establish, follow and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements.
• Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
• Accountable for ensuring that all operational processes, including receiving, storage, handling, and shipping, maintain the safety, quality, and legality of products.
