Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager II, Operations in Elkridge, MD to lead shift execution at an SSD fulfillment site. You will manage a team of Process Assistants and 50–100+ hourly staff, balancing safety, quality, speed, and customer experience.

You will drive continuous improvement across inbound, pick, pack, and outbound operations, coordinating with HR, Safety, and other teams to ensure readiness and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years Amazon experience (blue badge/FTE).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Shift ownership across one or more shifts with labor planning and real-time adjustments.
• Lead and develop 50–100+ hourly associates and PAs.
• Foster safety culture and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Own site metrics such as UPH, TPH, DPMO, on-time dispatch, and dwell time.
• Drive continuous improvement using Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma approaches.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Safety, RME, and Transportation.
• Monitor order volume and delivery promise adherence to protect the customer experience.
