Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Area Manager in Illinois for a full-time, entry level position located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations or other operations buildings. You will lead a team of hourly associates to meet safety, quality and performance goals on the Operations network.

The role focuses on motivating, mentoring and developing your team while delivering on goals, with extensive training to become a strong people leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• You must have all degree requirements met before your first day.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment and step in as needed
• Lift up to 49 pounds and climb/descend stairs as applicable
