Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager at our Chesapeake Fulfillment Center in Virginia to lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, driving Lean improvements, operating efficiency, safety and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.
• MBA preferred or equivalent higher education.

Responsibilities

• Leads quality initiatives and Lean change programs to meet/exceed FC goals.
• Oversees safety, quality and customer experience for Inbound or Outbound ops.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and gives feedback.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and build improvement plans.
• Promotes best practices across departments, shifts and network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Ops Managers for resources.
