Job summary

Amazon in Moreno Valley, CA is seeking a Senior Operations Manager responsible for budget, people development, and site-wide operations. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach staff, and strengthen leadership bench within the Fulfillment Center.

You will drive safety, quality, and customer experience for inbound or outbound operations, set expectations for managers, measure performance, and share best practices across shifts and departments while partnering with HR, Finance,

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plan.
• Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and accountability.
• Leverages Managers by sourcing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans for the area.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across departments, shifts and network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources.
