Job summary

Flexport seeks an Area Manager for our Phillipsburg, NJ fulfillment center. You will lead 30–100 associates, drive safety, efficiency, and inventory accuracy, and own performance reporting. You’ll work across functions to resolve issues and push process improvements in a fast-growing logistics network.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years supervising teams, strong data skills (SQL/Excel/Sheets), and a collaborative leadership style. This on-site role includes shift flexibility and weekend overlap.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing staff of 5 or more.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Willing to work variable shifts, including overnights and weekends.
• Experience in warehousing, fulfillment, or logistics management.
• Experience creating and running reports with SQL/Excel/Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Coach, manage, and develop a team of 30-100.
• Communicate policies to the team and ensure compliance.
• Create and support recognition programs across the department.
• Support safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Own performance reporting including on-time receiving, shipping, and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain strict SLA-driven reporting and action plans.
• Troubleshoot fulfillment issues with cross-functional teams.
• Serve as escalation point to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
• Identify gaps in inventory accuracy and drive root-cause initiatives.
• Contribute to SOPs and drive process improvements with Growth and Engineering.
