Job summary

Flexport is seeking a hands-on Area Manager in Phillipsburg, NJ to lead a large fulfillment team on site. You will drive operational performance, safety, and program adherence while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and inventory accuracy.

You will manage 30-100 colleagues, develop talent, and report key metrics. This role requires adaptability in a fast-growing logistics environment and a focus on continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing staff of 5 or more.
• Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Experience in warehousing, fulfillment, or logistics management.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Able to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coach, manage, and develop a team of 30-100.
• Communicate policies to the team and act as the primary information source for compliance and consistency.
• Create, manage, and support recognition programs across the department.
• Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
• Own performance reporting for areas of responsibility, including on-time receiving/shipping and inventory accuracy.
• Escalate issues and collaborate with Growth and Engineering teams to resolve systemic problems.
