Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager for on-site operations in Michigan. This is a full-time, entry-level leadership role within fulfillment centers, sort centers, and delivery stations.

You will lead a team of hourly associates, mentor them, and drive safety, quality, attendance and performance metrics on the floor. You will receive extensive training and development to become an exceptional people leader, with opportunities across the Operations network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (before start date).
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a relevant degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 50-100 hourly associates in a warehouse setting.
• Motivate, mentor and manage team to meet goals.
• Ensure safety, quality, attendance and performance standards.
• Operate in fast-paced fulfillment environments with shifts that may include nights, weekends, holidays.
• Oversee inbound deliveries and package handling; use pallet jacks and PIT equipment where applicable.
• Communicate on production floor to support operations.
