Job summary

Amazon in Michigan is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates within our Operations network. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity on the floor, mentor frontline teammates, and ensure smooth shift transitions in a fast-paced facility.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes hands-on leadership, day-to-day problem solving, and ongoing development opportunities across multiple sites in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have all degree requirements met before your first day.
• Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities).
• Climb and descend stairs as applicable.
