Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in one of its fulfillment centers across the Operations network. This full-time, entry-level leadership role requires on-the-floor presence, safety discipline and the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Responsibilities include mentoring 50-100 direct reports, coordinating shift coverage (including nights, weekends, holidays), and ensuring productivity while maintaining high standards for quality, attendance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently in an autonomous warehouse setting.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries and handle/sort packages; operate PIT equipment where applicable.
