Job summary

Six Mile, LLC is seeking a Fuel Distribution Operator I to join our Kodiak, AK team. The role involves fuels transfers, system maintenance, testing, and spill response within our distribution operations.

The position requires coordinating with vessel transfers, maintaining records, and performing inspections in accordance with ASTM and military protocols. On-call duties and weekend rounds will be part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must communicate clearly in English (oral and written).
• Must be able to radio and phone communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participates in fuel transfers to and from vessels with proper safety procedures.
• Inspects fuel receiving, storage and distribution facilities for leaks and faults.
• Lubricates valves, pumps and replaces gaskets as needed.
• Maintains records of inspections and samples.
• Performs quality control fuel testing per ASTM and military protocols.
• Complete paperwork per policies and procedures.
• On-call spill response participation and weekend rounds as required.
• Travel to remote sites may be required.
